Brunch weddings have my HEART. This styled brunch wedding shoot at the all-new La Estancia intimate wedding and gathering space in Arcadia was a thing of beauty. The green checkered courtyard, the pool and cabana area, all of the lovely decor designed & provided by Abby Higgs Photography, Sanz Studio, Let’s Bash Events and Harper Floral Co really worked so well together and pulled this whole shoot together into a beautiful, cohesive brunch wedding concept. We had two lovely models who are getting married early next year and got to live out their wedding dreams a few months early- our lovely “bride” Delaney wore a dress from The Bridal Closet, and hair and makeup by Le Beige Beauty.
For this shoot, I focused on shooting in a hybrid photography style. And I’m sure you’re wondering, “Nicole, what does that even mean?!” Hybrid photography refers to when you shoot both images on both film and digital. If you’re wondering what the difference is, and how you can even tell the two different photo styles apart- I have a whole post on that for you to look at here: Hybrid Photography | Why I Love Shooting Film alongside Digital.
Ever since I shot these photos, I have been SCOURING the venues I’m shooting at for unique flooring and elements to use when I’m shooting details for my couples. I think it adds such a pop to details photos that can otherwise be a little bland and makes for amazing images to share & really highlight my couples’ most special items on their wedding days.
