One of my favorite “hidden gem” locations in the Greater Phoenix area has GOT to be Market Street at DC Ranch! There’s such a great mix of desert scenery, cool brick and concrete architecture, a huge variety of different kinds of plants & succulents, and lots of little passageways, windows and walkways to give you the most variety for Scottsdale engagement photos without much walking required!

Before this portion of their Scottsdale engagement photos, Tyler, Sadie and I started out with some drinks in a quiet speakeasy (which you can see more of HERE). Once we finished at the bar, we headed outside and walked around to all my favorite spots around DC Ranch Marketplace for engagement session photos!

HOW TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL CHAMPAGNE SPRAY AT YOUR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS SESSION:

1: Open the champagne BEFORE shaking the bottle. This is not how it looks in the movies, but it will give you much more control over the spray. It also provides you some extra time to set up your shot.

2: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Remember to follow the rules of Leave No Trace™. We will collect all of the foil and cork to throw away properly so you are not littering. We also will not be doing a champagne spray anywhere in a natural setting where it could cause harm for plants or wildlife. I ONLY allow champagne sprays in urban areas or on rocks.

3: Cover the bottle opening with your thumb kind of like how you would if you were trying to spray someone with a garden hose!!

4: Shake shake shake away! With your thumb covering the opening of the bottle, shake the bottle up and down while pointing it away from you and up!

5: Remember to smile, and look at each other during the entire thing!!! Maybe sneak a kiss in towards the end!
